Mind blowing, intense and action filled are some of the ways you would describe the highly anticipated Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight. There’s no doubt that this movie is going to be a huge success worldwide. It’s almost common knowledge. It is difficult to say what it is about because as a viewer, you’d rather be surprised yourself.
What I will say is, Christian Bale was an even better Batman the second time around. Although it is hard not to make fun of the heavy breathing that Bruce Wayne has.
Gary Oldman, and despite their minimal screen time, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Caine still give terrific performances. Of course it’s no surprise that one of the best performances goes to Heath Ledger. It is extremely evident that he devoured and embodied himself into the role of The Joker. He was scary and laughable at the same time. Does he deserve an Oscar nomination that his co-stars have been saying? If he was, it will definitely be a change of direction for the Academy or it’s just all talk to get people to watch the movie. The other best performance is Aaron Eckhart. Eckhart is excellent as Harvey Dent. There’s trustworthy and assurance that he’ll keep the bad guys in jail and make a better Gotham City but once he turns into Two-Face, he becomes stronger with a hint of evil in his eyes, and he’s a total badass. His transformation as Two-Face is certainly gruesome.
Look out for the most unforgettable scenes and monologues that involve The Joker and Harvey Dent, and another of The Joker and Batman together in a room.
I don’t want to say anymore than and now you need to see it for yourself!
