The long awaited movie version of the successful musical Mamma Mia! is now here and on the heels of it’s release is the movie’s soundtrack. Containing a whopping 17 tracks of all the songs sung in the movie with stars Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried and among others. Streep defiantly shines in each number she sings, especially “Dancing Queen”, “Mamma Mia” and “Money Money Money”. However it was incredibly tedious to get through the songs sung by Seyfried as her voice was often shaky at times, notably in the opening number of “Honey Honey”. If you’re a fan of the musical or ABBA in general, it’s a must to add this to your CD collection and you will find yourselves singing along to these hits whether you like it or not.
