An album review by Laura Hartley
June 28 marks the release of G-Unit’s latest album, T.O.S – Terminate On Sight, a much delayed studio follow up to their 2003 Platinum release, Beg For Mercy.
G-Unit has had a number of members over the years however the group is still comprised of its original members – 50 Cent, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks.
Considering the amount of time between G-Unit’s two studio albums (5 years!), Terminate On Sight is really disappointing. Kitty Kat is quite painful to listen to, and T.O.S (after which the album was named) isn’t any better. In fact, the songs all sound pretty similar and it’s difficult to distinguish one from the other.
Out of 16 tracks, Rider Pt 2 is the only one that offers this CD any salvation.
It’s amazing that such a talented group could make such a bad album, and even if you are some die hard G-Unit fan, T.O.S is not worth buying.
T.O.S is in stores June 28, 2008.
