THE VERVE RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘LOVE IS NOISE’

THE VERVE, Richard Ashcroft (vocals), Simon Jones (bass), Nick McCabe (guitar) and Peter Salisbury (drums) release their first single in over ten years on Sunday 3rd August 2008. Entitled ‘Love Is Noise’, the single is released on Capitol/EMI Music and is their first single release since 1998’s ‘Sonnet’.

Produced by the band and recorded at State Of The Ark and Metropolis studio in London, ‘Love Is Noise’ will surprise and thrill even the most ardent Verve fan and looks set to become an anthem for 2008. The single
is taken from their new album ‘Forth’ which is due for release on Saturday 16th August 2008.

You will be also able to download an exclusive new Verve track for free from 10pm (AEST) today, Monday 30th June.  Titled ‘Mover’, this track will not appear on the band’s forthcoming new album, and will only be
available from the official Verve website: http://www.theverve.tv/ .   The download will only be available for
one week.

After finishing the record earlier this year the band went straight into an international tour, including a triumphant appearance at the Coachella festival in  the US where ‘Love Is Noise’ went down a storm as
the set closer.

After playing Glastonbury on the weekend, the band will now go on to play at the following festivals over the next few months:
